The Baltimore Orioles have the worst record in the American League. Can they bail themselves out with a series win over the Royals?

The Baltimore Orioles are back on the East Coast, and with a 4-20 record over the past month, they’re desperate for a win.

Their World Series hopes are already sunk — FanGraphs gives them a 0% chance of making the playoffs — but never mind that. The morale at Camden Yards is at a low point that hasn’t been seen since the infamous 1988 season, when the Orioles got off to an 0-21 start. Something needs to change, and fast.

Fortunately, the Kansas City Royals are also one of the worst teams in the American League, so the Birds should stand a fighting chance in this week’s series. Here’s everything you need to know:

Weather report

The Birds will get clear skies and warm weather during the first two games, but keep an eye on Thursday’s grim forecast. Scattered thunderstorms are expected throughout the day, though that likelihood should decrease significantly come game time.
