Even though the Baltimore Orioles are eliminated from playoff contention, they have a swath of former players littered around the American League Division Series and National League Division Series. The talent pipeline through Baltimore can be felt throughout the league, including on some of the best rosters in baseball.

Given the fact that Birdland can't see their team play in this year's postseason, here is a list of former players (organized by team) to help them root for them through the rest of October.

13 former Orioles still playing in the divisional round and what teams they are playing for

San Diego Padres

Manny Machado is the most notable of the former Orioles players. The Padres third baseman spent his first seven seasons in Baltimore before being traded away at the deadline. He made four All-Star teams, won two Gold Gloves, and had two top-five MVP finishes. His 32.0 bWAR in Baltimore puts him in the top 20 for the O's all time.

Austin Hays is also currently on the Padres. He was released by the White Sox after the trade deadline, playing just 12 games for them this season due to injury, and was picked up by San Diego. Hays also spent his first seven seasons in orange and white before being traded away at the 2024 trade deadline.

Los Angeles Dodgers

Tanner Scott may be remembered best by Birdland as the reliever who just couldn't put it all together. His best season in Baltimore was the shortened 2020 season, but every other year he had an ERA of 4.78 or higher. He was traded to Miami right at the start of the 2022 season and instantly became elite for the fish. Scott became one of the highest-paid relievers ever by the Dodgers in 2025.

Another Dodgers reliever that some may forget was an Oriole is Evan Phillips. He was a member of the Orioles for three seasons (2018,'19, and '20), after being acquired in the trade that sent Kevin Gausman to Atlanta. The righty was released by the organization in August 2021, signed with Tampa two days later, and then 14 days after that was claimed off waivers by the Dodgers.

Tampa Bay Rays

Cedric Mullins was a fan favorite in Baltimore, specifically for his 2021 breakout season, the Orioles on 30 home run 30 stolen base season in the 2000s. That season earned him his only All-Star bid and Silver Slugger. It was a steady decline for Mullins from that season, and Baltimore traded him to the Mets at the 2025 deadline. He signed with Tampa over the offseason.

Jorge Mateo spent four and a half seasons with the Orioles as a utilityman. He was claimed off waivers late in 2021. He played 150 games in 2022, and his playing time slowly declined from there. He was granted free agency last offseason, signed with Atlanta, was released in August, and then signed with Tampa.

Bryan Baker was a solid reliever for the Orioles for three seasons. After being claimed off waivers in the '21-'22 offseason, he pitched 173 games for Baltimore between 2022 and when he was traded to Tampa in 2025. Baker became one of the game's best closers this season, leading MLB in saves with 41 and posting a 1.44 ERA in 65 appearances. Another former Orioles reliever in Tampa is Tyler Wells. The 31-year-old was a Rule 5 draft choice by Baltimore in 2020 as a starter, and converted to a full-time relief role this season. The righty was dealt in-division at the 2026 trade deadline while having a career year.

Milwaukee Brewers

The two players sent back in the Corbin Burnes deal both made the Brewers playoff roster. Joey Ortiz bounced back in 2026 after a rough 2025. He has split time between third base and shortstop in his time in Milwaukee. DL Hall had a breakout 2026 season coming out of the bullpen. In his 47 games, he posted a 1.91 ERA. Also on the Brewers playoff roster is Gary Sanchez. He went back to the Brewers for 2026 after leaving them for Baltimore in 2025. He only played 29 games for the Orioles.

Cleveland Guardians and Chicago White Sox

The lone former Oriole in Cleveland is Shawn Armstrong. The righty reliever was with Baltimore for parts of three seasons. He was claimed off waivers in April 2019 by the Orioles, spent 2020 with the club, and then was DFA'd in June of 2021. Armstrong pitched 85 games for the O's with a 5.34 ERA.

On the White Sox is Jake Rogers. The 31-year-old catcher spent three days with Baltimore in 2026, was traded from the Tigers on July 31, and was dealt to the Red Sox as part of the Adley Rustchman deal on August 3. Boston DFA'd him eight days later, and the White Sox claimed him. He'll be a fun Immaculate Grid name to remember for the future.
