Stop me if you've heard this before, but the Baltimore Orioles have an outstanding offense. They hit a lot of homers and are still very productive, despite some flaws in the batter's box.

Ok, maybe "a lot of homers" was oversimplifying things. With Heston Kjerstad's grand slam capping off an exciting 6-5 win over the Texas Rangers in a playoff rematch, the Orioles reached 60 home runs for the month of June.

Not only is that a franchise record for home runs in a month, but these Orioles are only the third team in AL/NL history to hit at least 60 home runs in a month. The other two are the 2023 Braves with 61 in June and the 2019 Yankees in August with a whopping 74 long balls. That's quite the company to keep for the Orioles.

Not only are the Orioles leading baseball in home runs in June, but they're also doing it by a ton. The Orioles ended June with exactly 60 home runs. The next-closest team? The San Diego Padres with 42, a difference of 18 home runs. After that, it's the New York Mets with 41 and the Los Angeles Dodgers with 38.

The Orioles are showing every bit of their power with impressive home run feat

Leading the Orioles in home runs this past month was Anthony Santander with 13. In the conversation to be a starting outfielder in the All-Star Game, he's up to 22 home runs on the season, as he's absolutely crushing the ball. Gunnar Henderson, who will compete in the Home Run Derby this year, has eight home runs to his name this month as he continues to build a case for AL MVP. After those two, Ryan Mountcastle, Adley Rutschman, and Jordan Westburg all have five.

While the Orioles ended June on a sour note with a rout at the hands of the Rangers, they are still right at the top of the AL East in a dogfight with the New York Yankees entering July. If they can keep hitting like this, or even somewhat approximating this this, they'll seize the division in short order.
