The Baltimore Orioles have plenty of players who will be participating in the World Baseball Classic. The event comes around once every few years, so it is a really unique opportunity for those involved. Baltimore has had several players participate in the WBC in the past, so let's take a look at every Orioles player who has committed to the event for this year.

Every Baltimore Orioles player competing in the World Baseball Classic

Micah Ashman (Canada)

Acquired from Detroit last year, the tall pitcher Micah Ashman will pitch for Team Canada this year. He had a 4.80 ERA in 13 appearances in Double-A last season.

Enrique Bradfield Jr. (Panama)

Seen as a top-five prospect in the organization last year, Bradfield will represent Panama. He stole 36 bases last year in the minors, so his speed should give the team a boost.

Naykel Cruz (Cuba)

Cruz pitched for Cuba in the WBC back in 2023 and gave up one run in one appearance for a 13.50 ERA, which was not as ghastly as it seems. He was signed as an international free agent by the Orioles last season.

Jose Espada (Puerto Rico)

Espada has only had two career big league appearances, and one of them came with Baltimore last season. Both of them have been scoreless outings, so if he has a solid showing for Puerto Rico, then maybe he can impress the Orioles and become part of the bullpen at some point.

Rico Garcia (Puerto Rico)

Garcia pitched for three different teams last year and had a 2.84 ERA in 20 appearances. Team Puerto Rico hopes he can provide similarly strong results.

Nestor German (Mexico)

German had a 3.93 ERA across three different minor league levels last season. He will be part of the Designated Pitcher Pool, meaning Team Mexico can call him up as a reserve arm if they make it past the first round.

Kailen Hamson (Australia)

The Orioles signed Hamson last year, but he has yet to debut with the organization. He had a 14.34 ERA last year, pitching for Brisbane, and is also part of the Designated Pitcher Pool.

Gunnar Henderson (USA)

Team USA will have Henderson as their starting shortstop, and the Orioles know that how their 2026 season goes will depend on how he performs.

Yaramil Hiraldo (Dominican Republic)

Hiraldo had a 4.58 ERA in 199 appearances for Baltimore last season, and he will be part of the DPP for the D.R.

Dean Kremer (Israel)

Kremer may be bounced out of the rotation by the Chris Bassitt signing, but maybe a solid performance in the WBC could help his standing.

Ryan Long (Great Britain)

Long had a 4.01 ERA in the minors last year and will pitch for Team Great Britain.

Tyler O'Neill (Canada)

We know O'Neill likes to hit homers on Opening Day, so it would not shock anyone if he hit one out in his first WBC game.

Luis Vázquez (Puerto Rico)

The infielder slashed .160/.208/.240 in 32 games with Baltimore last season.
