The Baltimore Orioles have announced who their non-roster invites to spring training will be and a lot of exciting top prospects are in the mix. However, there are some overlooked prospects who could make a good impression in the Grapefruit League.

There are the obvious prospects like Trey Gibson and Enrique Bradfield Jr. who certainly seem like they could be future contributors at the big league level, but what about some of the less talked about prospects? There are three names in particular who could make a statement.

3 overlooked Orioles prospects who can make a statement in spring training

Luis De León

Ranked as the No. 18 overall prospect in Baltimore's organization, De León put up some really solid numbers in 2025. Across three levels, he had a 3.30 ERA in 87 innings with 107 strikeouts. The 22-year-old's raw stuff is undeniable and De León had a super impressive showing in the Arizona Fall League, punching out 22 batters in 16 innings.

The left-hander has only gotten as high as Double-A, but it is easy to envision him having a strong spring and quickly moving through the minors in 2026.

Aron Estrada

One infield prospect to keep an eye on is Aron Estrada. The 21-year-old from Venezuela can play all over the diamond but is primarily an infielder and has put up noteworthy offensive numbers in the minors. Last season across two levels, Estrada slashed .288/.366/.447 with 10 home runs and 53 runs batted in. He also stole 34 bases in 40 attempts.

Teams are never going to turn their nose up at a utility guy who can hit and has speed so Estrada could get the attention of the Orioles this spring one year after being part of the team's Spring Breakout roster.

Creed Willems

22-year-old catcher Creed Willems is ranked as the No. 30 prospect in Baltimore's organization and it is easy to overlook him with so many catchers ahead of him on the organizational depth chart. However, he put up some respectable power numbers last season in Double-A as he slashed .253/.338/.441 with 16 homers and 59 runs batted in.

Teams always carry a lot of catchers in camp so it can be hard to stand out, but if Willems hits an impressive homer or two that could help him out somewhere down the line. Spring training is the perfect time for prospects to prove themselves and these three young players have a golden chance to do just that.
