After a rough series against the Nationals, the Baltimore Orioles are set to clash with a longtime division rival in the Bronx Bombers.
One day after being swept by the Nationals, the Baltimore Orioles will host another member of MLB’s upper crust: the New York Yankees. The Birds have enjoyed some memorable series with their longtime division rivals over the years, but at 17-39, this season’s club won’t stand much of a chance.
The Yanks are just 4-4 over their last eight games, but with a lineup that includes superstar slugger Aaron Judge and rookie second baseman Gleyber Torres, they’re always a threat to tattoo the scoreboard. Even if they struggle, they shouldn’t have much trouble outscoring the O’s, who have plated just eight baserunners since May 25.
But while the Birds may be floundering in last place, there’s still nothing like a win over the Bronx Bombers to lift the spirits of a frustrated fan base. Look below for everything you need to know about the four-game series.
