The Baltimore Orioles very quietly released tickets for sale to the general public for their annual FanFest celebration this past week. Fans can visit the official FanFest webpage for details and to purchase tickets in advance. Admission for adults is $12.

I’ve said this before, but it’s always a fun event for everyone involved. There are numerous exhibits, booths, clinics, merchandise sales, and of course an opportunity to get autographs and meet-and-greets with your favorite current and former Orioles. Needless to say, my personal opinion is that it’s well worth the $12 admission price.
The timing is a bit curious this year, as normally they hold it in the end of January or beginning of February. However I would also say that’s almost the exception as opposed to the rule. I know for a fact that the Nationals hold a similar event around the same time of year. The Red Sox also have a winter caravan type of event that’s held near Christmas, so maybe it’s just an issue of the Orioles “adjusting to the market.”
I suppose my reasoning for bringing up the early date is because December 12th feels almost like the season just ended. I think that January is a much better time given the fact that spring training is set to begin the following month and so forth. But regardless of when it is, Orioles FanFest is a great time for all involved. It’s also a time honored tradition in Baltimore. So if you’ve never been, this is your chance!
