Baltimore Orioles: Save the date, December 12th!

The Baltimore Orioles announced this afternoon that their annual FanFest celebration is going to be on Saturday, December 12, 2015 at the Baltimore Convention Center. The event will last from 11 AM – 6 PM and will feature all of the family-friendly exhibits that Orioles fans have come to love about FanFest. Season ticket holders will be able to get in at 10 AM.

In the past, FanFest has been something that has generally occurred in the end of January or beginning of February. In fact I think that the past couple of seasons it’s been literally the day before the Super Bowl (or maybe in some cases the week before.) And I’ll be honest I think that’s the perfect time for it.

    • The event this year is scheduled amidst all of the winter holiday shopping among other things. I can’t say for sure what the reasoning is to having the event at that time, however my personal opinion is that January or February is much more preferable. (For all I know it could have been a scheduling issue at the Convention Center.) I would submit that having FanFest in the doldrums of the winter and thus closer to the beginning of spring training helps to break up the off season for fans.

    Nevertheless, FanFest is always a fun event for fans of all ages. If you’ve never attended previously, I would highly recommend making the trek out to the Convention Center on December 12th. The team will release ticket information at a later date, however it’s normally between $10-$15 for admission.
