Orioles vs. Rays prediction and odds for Friday, July 21 (Rays are Overrated)
The Baltimore Orioles and Tampa Bay Rays are locked into a pivotal AL East showdown with the top spot in the division on the line.
Game 2 of four is set to take place on Friday. Kyle Bradish (3.05 ERA) will get the start for the O's and he'll face-off against Zach Eflin (3.59 ERA) of the Rays.
Let's dive into the odds for Friday's game and then I'll break down my best bet.
Orioles vs. Rays odds, run line, and total
Orioles vs. Rays prediction and pick
I backed the Orioles as underdogs on Thursday and I see no reason to sway from that strategy on Friday. The numbers are the numbers, and the Orioles have been flat out the better team of late.
Over the last 30 days, the O's rank 11th in the Majors in OPS at .754 while the Rays bats have gone cold, ranking just 21st in that stat at .707.
What's even more important than the offensive numbers is just how hot Kyle Bradish has been this month. In three starts across 19.1 innings in July, he has given up just one earned run for an ERA of 0.47.
Eflin has been trending the opposite direction for the Rays, sporting a 5.40 ERA in three starts in July.
Let's ride the hot pitcher and the hot team on Friday.
