Former Orioles outfielder Adam Jones set to retire as an Oriole in September

Do you miss pies? It was an iconic tradition for the Orioles in the early 2010s. The man behind this? Adam Jones. One of the greatest outfielders in recent history to wear Orange and Black for 11 seasons in Baltimore will officially call it a career and will do so as an Oriole.

Not only one the best players from Buck Showalter's era, but a leader in the clubhouse, Jones is the player with most Home Runs in Oriole Park history plus three playoff appearances. He's also a 5x All-Star, 4x Gold Glove and a Silver Slugger winner in 14 MLB seasons. He's earned these accolades while playing for the Orioles.

He spent his career in Seattle before being traded to Orioles with Chris Tillman in exchange for Erik Bedard in one of the most celebrated trades in Orioles history. After 11 seasons, he played one year for the Arizona Diamondbacks and played overseas in Japan for the Orix Buffaloes in 2020 and 2021. For all baseball fans, he'll remember for his catch in 2017 World Baseball Classic against his friend and teammate, Manny Machado.

Overall, his career numbers for Baltimore:

- .279/.319/.459/.777 slash line
- 263 Home Runs
- 866 RBI
- 875 runs scored
- 1781 hits
- 90 stolen bases
- 109 OPS+
