Baltimore Orioles 2023 Playoff Schedule: Dates, Times & Series-by-Series Updates
The 2023 MLB Playoffs are here! Here is what the Orioles' playoff schedule looks like.
The Baltimore Orioles are officially back in the postseason and are among the favorites in the American League to make a deep run in 2023. The Rays didn't make their lives easy in the season's final weeks, but the Orioles kept pace with them and ultimately locked up home field advantage through the ALCS as the top seed in the American League.
With their postseason fate sealed, here is a look at the Orioles' upcoming postseason schedule.
American League Division Series Schedule
As the top seed in the AL, Baltimore gets to avoid the crapshoot that is the wild card round and get a week off as a prize. How the Orioles utilize that downtime without getting rusty will be important as we saw some playoff teams with byes last year struggle in the divisional round.
Game | Date | Time | Opponent | Where to watch (TV) |
---|---|---|---|---|
Game One at Home | Saturday, October 7th | 1 PM EST | Rangers | Fox/FS1 |
Game Two at Home | Sunday, October 8th | 4:07 PM EST | Rangers | Fox/FS1 |
Game Three Away Game | Tuesday, October 10th | 8:03 PM EST | Rangers | Fox/FS1 |
Game Four (if necessary) Away Game | Wednesday, October 11th | TBD | Rangers | Fox/FS1 |
Game Five (if necessary) at Home | Friday, October 13th | TBD | Rangers | Fox/FS1 |
As for who the Orioles will be matching up with in the postseason, it was somewhat a surprise as the Rangers bounced the Rays from the playoffs in convincing fashion. Avoiding another tough series with Tampa is good news, but the Rangers are going to tough if their pitching shows up like it did against Texas given how good their offense is. In the regular season, the Orioles split their season series with Texas 3-3.
Baltimore Orioles Projected Playoff Rotation
No plans when it comes to the Orioles playoff roster have been announced just yet, but certain assumptions can obviously be made here. Assuming no injuries pop up over the next few days (cross your fingers and toes on that one), Kyle Bradish is going to be starting a playoff game for the Orioles in 2023. In play for the other starts are Grayson Rodriguez, John Means, and Dean Kremer and Baltimore really only NEEDS three starters, but could go with four if they prefer. Expect the Orioles to look at matchups to see who should start and when as all three of those guys are deserving of a postseason start.
