MLB insider names the Orioles players fans should expect to lose

As the calendar turns to July, a lot of Major League Baseball teams will have to make important decisions regarding whether they will be sellers or buyers. For the Baltimore Orioles, they're trending towards being sellers as it's been just a disastrous season to this point.

The Orioles, while they've played better baseball as of late, may be too little, too late, after falling to the bottom of the AL East standings. However, they're still in a good position to make a couple of notable splashes in the trade market, and certainly have a couple hot commodities.

One of those likely trade targets is first baseman Ryan O'Hearn, who has been the subject of trade speculation over the past few weeks. According to ESPN insider Jeff Passan and and prospect evaluator Kiley McDaniel, who ranked the top 50 most likely trade candidates, O's fans can expect to lose O'Hearn at this year's deadline.

The Orioles lefty slugger was listed as having a whopping 85% chance to be dealt, which is one of the highest numbers on the list. Following suit is Orioles center fielder Cedric Mullins, who, according to Passan and McDaniel, has a 70% chance of being traded. In other words, the Orioles' most productive offensive players will likely be on the move.

For O'Hearn, he is in the midst of a career season, hitting over .300 with 11 home runs and an OPS of .867. He could be in line for the first All-Star appearance of his eight-year career. Some of the best fits for the Orioles' first baseman could include the Seattle Mariners, Boston Red Sox, San Francisco Giants, and Texas Rangers. The Giants make the most sense seeing as how Baltimore is unlikely to trade O'Hearn to an in-division rival, or even an American League team.

As for Mullins, his power is on the rise, and considering he is in a contract year, Baltimore would not re-sign him anyway. Mullins has always been a solid defensive center fielder, and while the average isn't always there, he's still slugging .430.

The last player named by Passan and McDaniel is closer Felix Bautista, but they forecast his likelihood of being traded at just 15 %, meaning is more likely that he remains in black and orange threads. As the trade deadline gets ever closer, expect teams to come calling on these three Orioles players, and perhaps others.
