At around 4:00 Eastern Time on Tuesday, the country celebrated as the United States men’s soccer (yes, soccer) team defeated Iran to advance to the round of 16 in the World Cup. With the world encapsulated in the action in Qatar, it reminds us that there will be another world event beginning in March that will pit the world’s best baseball players against one another in the World Baseball Classic. The United States is the reigning WBC champs from 2017 and there will be multiple Baltimore Orioles players representing different countries in the classic. While none of the rosters have been finalized here are the players that have a good chance of representing their countries or have already committed.
