As fans are once again admitted into the ballpark, the Orioles have a full lineup of promotions and giveaways this season

With the COVID-19 pandemic scrapping the traditional 162-game season last year, the thrill of promotional nights at the ballpark was nonexistent in 2020. However, things look to be returning to normal in that regard this year. The Baltimore Orioles have released their promotional schedule for this coming season, which includes giveaways, live music events, and the return of Kids Run the Bases on select Sundays at Camden Yards.

Notably, the team has announced the return of the Birdland Summer Music Series with this schedule, although the performers have yet to be announced.

Here are our picks for the five best promotional giveaway items at Camden Yards this season:

5: Father’s Day Orioles Canvas Beverage Holder (Jun. 20th vs. TOR)

This Father’s Day giveaway item features the Orioles’ 1992-1994 logo with the Oriole facing left, perched atop of the letter “i” in the team’s name. The item will be given away to the first 10,000 men 18 years or older through the gates on Sunday, June 20th when the Orioles will take on the Toronto Blue Jays.

4: Orioles Floppy Hat, Presented by Miller Lite (Jun. 4th vs. CLE)

For the team’s first Friday night promotion of the season, the Orioles will be giving away bucket hats. The hats are orange with white silhouettes of Chesapeake blue crabs patterned across. Embroidered on the front of the hat is the team’s current logo, and on the back is Miller Lite’s logo, colored in black. The first 20,000 fans 21 years or older will receive the hat before the Orioles’ match up with the Cleveland Indians on June 4th.

3: Birdland Hawaiian Shirt (Jul. 10th vs. CHW)

As the team’s first homestand of July draws to a close, the Orioles will be giving away Hawaiian shirts to the first 20,000 fans 15 years or older admitted to their July 10th clash with the Chicago White Sox. The shirt’s base color is black and is covered in orange flowers with green stems. Along with the giveaway, an installment of the Birdland Summer Music Series is scheduled to take place that night.

2: Oriole Bird Mascot Hall of Fame Bobblehead, Presented by Pepsi (Aug. 7th vs. TB)

Bobblehead giveaways are the best kind of giveaways, and the Orioles are set to giveaway 20,000 bobbleheads to fans 15 years or older on August 7th before battling with the Tampa Bay Rays. This bobblehead is of the team’s mascot, the Oriole Bird, to celebrate his induction into the National Mascot Hall of Fame last June.

1: Jim Palmer Bobblehead (Jul. 24th vs. WSH)

Baltimore is set to honor the franchise’s all-time strikeouts leader with a Jim Palmer bobblehead giveaway this season. The bobblehead features Palmer in the team’s 1971 all-orange uniform, which was abandoned after just a few games. The first 20,000 fans 15 years or older through the gates on July 24th will receive the bobblehead before watching the Orioles play the Washington Nationals.

Honorable Mentions:

  • Orioles Fanny Pack, Presented by Visit Sarasota (Aug. 11th vs. DET)
  • Mother’s Day Orioles Infinity Scarf (May 9th vs. BOS)
