Player Of The Month: Hanser Alberto
Though both Anthony Santander and Trey Mancini were strong candidates, this award belongs to Hanser Alberto.
The Orioles took a flyer on Alberto after he was designated for assignment by the Yankees on January 11th before even dawning the Pinstripes.
It’s safe to say the Orioles low-risk high reward move to claim him off waivers has paced off. Alberto built himself an all-star case in June after batting .354 with a .379 OBP. Despite not hitting a home run, Alberto still drove in 10 runs as mainly a leadoff hitter.
