Oriole FanFest 2012

It’s not an actual game, but it’ll have to do I suppose! The Orioles announced this past week that their annual FanFest will be held on January 21, 2012 at the Baltimore Convention Center. The event will be from 11:00 AM – 6:00 PM, and admission is $10. (Please note that Orioles’ season plan holders will be able to enter at 10 AM as part of their Orange Carpet perks.) Orioles 2012 individual game tickets will also go on sale at 10 AM that day at the Camden Yards box office, online at www.orioles.com, and at the FanFest event itself.

If you’ve never attended Oriole Fan Fest, it’s something that I highly recommend. Parking is free at the Camden Yards’ lots, but last year I remember seeing cars piled up on the side of the streets all the way back to Charles St. FanFest marks the unofficial beginning of the baseball season for Orioles fans, and it’s always a great community event. Fans can collect autographs from players and coaches (current and past), see the various displays, interact with players/coaches and media, and pretty much do anything with regard to the Orioles short of see an actual game. There are also question-and-answer sesssions with players/coaches, front office staff, media, as well as clinics for kids.

Tickets for FanFest can be purchased online at www.orioles.com/fanfest, by calling 1-888-848-BIRD, and at the Orioles team store in York, PA. On the day of the event, tickets will be available at the door at the Convention Center and at the Camden Yards box office.
