Make Jeter an offer he can refuse

I think it is fair to say most Orioles fans dislike the New York Yankees.  In fact, most baseball fans dislike the New York Yankees. That is why it is so much fun to watch the Yankees and their captain Derek Jeter battle over a new contract.

The Yankees have offered Jeter three years and $45 million, while Jeter and agent Casey Close are looking for a longer contract in the range of $23 to $25 million a year.

The general consensus in baseball is that  Jeter is not going anywhere and the two sides will find a way to come to an agreement.  There is also the belief that no other team will come close to offering Jeter what the Yankees are offering him.
