Holliday for the Holidays?

Fox Sports reported today that the Orioles are jumping into the bid for Matt Holliday. With the jam in right-field I wouldn’t have thought the Orioles would target Holliday.

Signing Holliday would greatly improve the team, but we would have some concerns.  One for instance  would be, what happen with Reimold.

I’m not going to spend a lot time on this, because it’s an extreme long for Holliday to sign with a team like the Orioles. But if he did, I don’t think I’d be willing to trade away Reimold. I would rather trade Scott, move Remiold to first-base, and put Atkins at DH.

The Orioles also recently signed Gonzalez who has the same agent as Holliday, Scott Boras. Holliday and also recently signed Atkins are good friends from playing days together in Colorado.  I wouldn’t definitely rule out the possibility of signing Holliday, but it’s an extreme long-shot.
