Last Night’s Game Really Really Not Worth Staying Up For

The Orioles seem to just find any way possible to lose. The O’s got up 3-0 in the 2nd inning and they were showing a glimmer of hope to win. However, by the bottom of the third, the Angels were back up 5-3. Adam Jones hit a solo shot in the 5th to make it 5-4 before the Angels hit a homer, making it 6-4 in the 7th. However, in the 8th, Guerrero had an RBI-groundout followed by an RBI single from Matt Wieters to tie it up 6-6.

From there, the game went in to extra innings. Jim Johnson was incredible pitching a perfect 8th, 9th, and 10th inning. Chris Jakubauskas pitched a perfect 11th inning. Then the top of the 12th came and Adam Jones hit an RBI single scoring Josh Bell. J.J. Hardy also scored on an error making it 8-6. Could the O’s actually win? All they need is for Kevin Gregg to come out and pitch 3 outs. So, you know the answer is no.

Gregg gave up a lead-off single followed by hitting a batter. Then they hit a sac fly which ended up scoring a run and not getting an out due to an error by Josh Bell. Then Bourjos reached on an infield single loading the bases with no outs. Goody. If it couldn’t get any worse, Gregg walked in the tying run. Bases still loaded, no outs, Gregg was taken out of the game and replaced by Troy Patton who couldn’t do anything because Abreu came up and hit a walk-off sac fly to win the game.

How freaking terrible. Let me just say for the millionth time: I HATE KEVIN GREGG.
