Baltimore Orioles: Coming attractions on Birds Watcher

The end of the line for the 2014 Baltimore Orioles doesn’t mean that we here at Birds Watcher go into hybernation for the winter. (And on a side note, do I really have to endure another winter of snow, sleet, etc. before baseball comes back again?!) First off, I want to thank each and every one of our writers for a great season. We set new traffic records on the site this year, and they’re all a huge part of the reason why.

The Orioles’ season never really ends for me. Fans can expect a daily blurb of some sort from me, and weekly postings from our staff

writers throughout the entire off season. Obviously some of that will be kind of earth-shattering as news breaks about the team, organization, etc, and some will be fluff. That will sart off in the next few days when I publish a formal season recap. But as time goes on I’m increasingly shocked to see how we make it through each off season with content!

And let’s be frank, there are in fact several issues facing this team, from pending free agents, to improving the team for 2015. But all in due course. December will bring the winter meetings, which will open the hot stove season. Before we know it the winter holidays will be over, and then pitchers and catchers will report two weeks after Super Bowl Sunday. A couple of weeks after that, the Orioles will open up Grapefruit League play against Detroit on March 3rd, and…hope springs eternal at that point in time!
