If you were listening to the national media discuss the ALCS, you would know two things. One, the Royals are in it. And, two, every man, woman and child outside of the Maryland/ Virginia area are rooting for the Royals to go to the World Series and win.

Celebrities like David Koechner and Paul Rudd are appearing on ESPN discussing who they would like to face in the World Series. One thing they are overlooking is the team the Royals will face in the American League Championship Series: the Baltimore Orioles.

The Birds of Charm City have been “flying” under the radar all season long. They were not expected to win the American League East. They were not expected to beat the Tigers in the ALDS. However, beating the odds, they did both of those.

Despite the lack of support around the country, there is one celebrity who is rooting on the Orioles. While the rest of the baseball world wears royal blue, actor Josh Charles will be donning orange and black come this Friday for Game 1 of the ALCS.

This Baltimore native has been a Orioles fanatic ever since he could say “Orioles magic.” Charles’ Twitter feed shows his devotion to the O’s.

Looking at these three tweets, there is no question where Charles’ loyalty lies. Charles goes to numerous Orioles games every year and hopefully he snagged a ticket to a game or two of the ALCS. Hearing the roar of the crowd during Games 1 and 2 of the ALDS, it is hard to say there are better fans in baseball and Josh Charles is one of those rowdy, enthusiastic fans.
