Baltimore Orioles to NYC - and welcome to Wes Murray

I’m pleased to announce that Birds Watcher has hire a new writer that I feel is going to be a great asset to our site. Wes Murray comes to us as a veteran of the now defunct Seattle Sports Nut, as well as having a stint writing for Bleacher Report. He’s played and been around sports for most of his life, including swimming and baseball. He’s followed the Orioles for the past few years given the fact that they were a struggling team for some time, however certainly of late they’ve turned things around.

Wes will be focusing primarily on the minor league side of the organization, however don’t be surprised if he sprinkles in an article about the big league club from time to time. You may have noticed that we’ve recently had much more coverage of the minor league system under the guidance of co-editor Mike Franz, and we’re very thankful for those efforts and are glad that Wes will be a part of that. On behalf of our staff at Birds Watcher and the Fansided Network, join me in welcoming Wes Murray to our team!

The Baltimore Orioles will open up a big series this weekend in New York, with Ubaldo Jimenez taking to the mound tonight. He’ll be opposed by Hiroki Kuroda of New York, with game time at 7 PM at Yankee Stadium.

Buy Yankees tickets for the series up at Yankee Stadium.
