Orioles vs A's Tickets Available For 44% Below Season Average

The Oakland A’s travel to Oriole Park at Camden Yards this weekend when they play the Baltimore Orioles for three games. The series begins Friday night and each game will be well below the $76.82 season average for Orioles tickets. Baltimore has surprised some by being second place in the American League East, but this homestand on the Orioles schedule will be a rough one. After the A’s, one of the best teams in baseball, leave, Baltimore will have three games against the Boston Red Sox followed by four games against the division-leading Toronto Blue Jays.

Tonight’s game features a lefty duel between the Orioles’ Wei-Yin Chen and A’s pitcher Tommy Milone. The average price for Friday A’s vs Orioles tickets is $35, 54.4% lower than season average, with a get-in price of $13. The Orioles will also offer Oriole sunglasses to the first 15,000 fans ages 15 and over in attendance. Chen has managed to post an impressive 6-2 record over 11 starts and 63.1 innings this season. The lefty has had his problems, however, allowing 76 hits over that time span. Milone has gone just 3-3 with a 3.60 ERA over 10 starts this season.

The Orioles have not named a pitcher for Saturday night’s game yet but the A’s will send righty Sonny Gray to the mound. Average price for Saturday night A’s vs Orioles tickets is $48, the most expensive of the series but still 37.5% below season average. Get-in price is $17, also the most expensive of the series. Saturday’s game will also offer a Manny Machado bobblehead to the first 25,000 fans ages 15 and over in attendance. Sonny Gray has posted impressive numbers this year as he’s gone 6-1 over 12 starts. The righty also holds a 2.45 ERA with a 1.15 WHIP . Gray has given up just 22 earned runs over 80.2 innings this season.

The rubber match of the series will be played Sunday afternoon and will feature lefty Scott Kazmir for the A’s. The Orioles have not yet announced who will pitch the final game of the series. Average price for Sunday A’s vs Orioles tickets is $41, 46.6% lower than season average, with a get-in price of $12, the lowest of the series. Kazmir has also pitched incredibly well for the A’s, going 6-2 over 12 starts this season. Pitching 75 innings, Kazmir has allowed just 20 earned runs and 59 hits while posting a 2.40 ERA.
