Tailgating is a time honored tradition before football games, and many Baltimore sports fans will be out in force this morning at and around M & T Bank Stadium grilling out and enjoying the morning prior to the Ravens taking on the Cincinnati Bengals. However there will be one group that will be very special for local fans, and which represents the best of Baltimore sports. Baltimore Orioles’ center fielder Adam Jones will be hosting his first ever “#stayhungry Purple Tailgate” before this afternoon’s game. Jones’ party will be at 111 Leadenhall St, Baltimore, MD. It runs from 8:30 AM – 12:00 PM, with the Ravens and Bengals kicking off at 1 PM.
The event itself is sold out, however speaking for myself I feel it could be a great annual event that will further cement the relationship between the city’s NFL and MLB franchises. Adam Jones (an Indianapolis Colt fan by birth) has been very supportive of the Ravens over the past few seasons, and that’s certainly been reciprocated by players such as Ray Rice occasionally wearing Orioles’ gear and so forth.
