Orioles & Ravens: Birds of a Feather Flock Together

Happy FanFest weekend everyone! I live out of town, but I’ve checked out the Baltimore Orioles Twitter feed & the feeds of a lot of the players. It sounds like they had a great time meeting fans & getting pumped for the 2013 season. I live in California & I’m already pumped!

With many of the O’s, including Chris Davis, Ryan Flaherty, & Adam Jones, back in town & the Ravens in New England to take on the Patriots, it’s a special weekend for Baltimore sports. Adam actually visited the Ravens facilities this week to wish the team good luck, hoping some of the Birdland magic will rub off on them! He lives in San Diego in the off-season, but made the trip back to Baltimore for their win against Indianapolis as well as to Denver for their amazing win against the Broncos. Adam has also tweeted that he’s headed to New England tomorrow for the game, have the Ravens found their good luck charm in the speedy center fielder?

Over the past couple of years, the players from each team seem to have developed a real camaraderie, especially this past season during the magical run for the Orioles.

Players went to each others’ games, Ravens threw out first pitches, Buck was an honorary captain at a Ravens home game, and the Ravens wore the now infamous BUCKle up shirts during many of their fall press conferences. The Ravens have been great for awhile, but haven’t been able to get over the Super Bowl hump; the Orioles are on the uptick in success & popularity after many seasons of languishing at the bottom of the AL East. In honor of the Ravens game & Orioles Fan Fest this weekend, here are some fun pictures of the muscles from Russell Street. Go Birds!
