Baltimore Orioles: Birds Watcher welcomes Amanda Redman

I’m pleased to announce that Birds Watcher has a new staff writer of which to brag. On behalf of the readers of this column and the Fansided network I’d like to extend a hearty welcome to Amanda Redman, who is joining our staff. In the coming days Amanda will make her maiden post on Birds Watcher, which is something that we eagerly await! You can follow her on twitter @mandy_redman, and of course you can continue to follow me @DomenicVadala for any news about the Baltimore Orioles. I know that I join all of the readers of Birds Watcher when I say that we’re looking forward to seeing what Mandy has to say about the O’s as we move into the off season and eventually into the MLB Hot Stove season.

In her application Amanda said that she had “a passion for Baltimore sports,” so I presume she saw the picture a couple of weeks ago of Buck Showalter as the honorary captain for the Baltimore Ravens. Granted the Ravens aren’t my #1 football team because I grew up rooting for the Washington Redskins. However I do like the Ravens and I root for them for the most part aside from when they play the Skins. Therefore I was incredibly happy on that day as “Showalter led them onto victory against the Dallas Cowboys!” Is it spring training yet?!
