What To Do With Walker

AUTHOR: Michael | IN: Orioles General | COMMENTS: None Yet |

We all know that Walker has been struggling the last two seasons. Our bullpen is limited with lefty pitchers in late inning situations. The question is now if we should dump Walker who has been sucking against left handed hitters anyway and recall Ray, or just hang on to him.

Walker has a 5.11 ERA in 12 1/3 innings in 22 appearances, which is not got at all. We all love Walker, he says what he means and stands up for the bullpen. He is a good leader and not willing to hold his head down because he is doing so poorly. That as it may be, we need a guy to come in and get an out without giving up home runs.

Trembley said that he’d address the media today, but still no news. Waters who has been having a decent year so far could be called up and put in the pen. He is a lefty and I’m sure he couldn’t do any worse than what walker has been. Other than maybe Waters, I don’t see anybody with the Tides who is a lefty and available or ready to come up. In Bowie, the only option I see is Wilfredo Perez to be called up to the pen, we’ll see.
