Eaton Released?

The No. 24 locker is conspicuous by its absence in the visiting clubhouse at Nationals Park.

Adam Eaton no longer is with the Orioles. An announcement should be coming shortly that he’s been released.

We believe that the Orioles have recalled Matt Albers from Triple-A Norfolk to give them an extra reliever for this series. He hasn’t arrived yet.

No word on who will take Eaton’s spot in the rotation, since we’re still waiting for confirmation on the move. The Orioles could bring up a starter once the turn comes up.

If all of this remains true, than I can not be happier. I hope that this is not a teaser because Eaton simply sucks. He wasn’t good with the Philly’s and he only had one start with us you can call good. Now the question is who will fill his void in the rotation. Hendrickson may be moved back into the rotation, even though I truly hope not, or maybe Jason Berken will join the team from Triple A Norfolk. This day was coming, and it’s better sooner than later.
