The Orioles should be competitive enough to keep pace with the others.. They always surprise the baseball world by knocking off the most powerful MLB teams. . And as a big fan they really deserve our time, personally I pass most of time looking to hear their latest online or watching their hot videos at:

but you must not stop supporting them!!!

I actually did look at that, and it is much higher, with more successful guys coming out of it.

2003: Paul Maholm, Chad Cordero, David Aardsma
2004: Justin Verlander, Jeff Niemann, Jeremy Sowers, Jered Weaver, Bill Bray (RP) Glen Perkins

I do understand that high school guys have more potential, and that it always takes them longer to advance than college guys, but the Orioles are in a time where they need guys soon.

Take the Tigers, they drafted a lot of college guys, headlined by Verlander, and went from 90 losses a year to the World Series in 2006. And you see that a good bit, see the Marlins of 2003, and even of now. The Rockies of 2007 took the same path, as did the Angels of 2002. Even the Phillies of last year did that, although their young guys were already established stars, unlike the other teams I mentioned.

Wow, that's like another post. I like what you do at Weaver's Tantrum. Quality stuff, and thanks for the link.
