Game Notes: Orioles Vs Royals

Tonight was a great comeback win to raise the confidence of the team and the fans. I can’t think of a better ballpark for us to start a streak in. After tonight’s game we  won 15 of 18 against Kansas City and 43-15 against the Royals since 2001. We can only hope to keep the momentum moving as we go into Yankee stadium next series.

Guthrie wasn’t fully himself tonight, but looked better. His last outing was against the Yankees, and he was clearly rushing on the mound. Tonight, he went five strong innings, giving up two runs in the third, but totally collapsed in the 6th and almost gave up the lead.

Our offense continued from where we left off in the 9th against the Rays. Huff had a long solo homerun in the 5th, which was the first homerun Meche gave up in almost 67 innings.  The whole lineup from top to bottom took charge tonight against supposedly the best pitching staff in the MLB. We better enjoys today’s win, as we have a huge lopsided pitching match-up tomorrow with Eaton Vs Greinke.

Game Notes:

  • Reimold hit the ball hard ball hard with is first MLB hit.
  • Guthrie totally collapsed in the 6th inning.
  • Izturis had 3 RBI with great defensive work
  • We own the Royals in Kansas city
  • Maybe Pie isn’t all that bad.
