Streak Continues, O’s Get Demolished

by Orioles General

The game started off good, we got two runs in the first inning and we were rolling. Unfortunately, after the second inning it all went bad when Kinsler went deep. Henderickson started to get into serous trouble in the 4th inning when his pitches had no movement, and the Rangers smacked the ball around. Honestly, I was a little disappointed Hendrickson got yanked, even though he got into serous trouble, I thought they should of let him worked his way out of it with the bullpen being over used. Anyway, Liz got brought in from being called up from Norfolk, and gave up a grand slam on his first pitch.

The offense was not in its typical form after the first inning. Other than Jones, who went 2-4, 1 walk, and 3 RBI the offense was stale. Chad Moeller had one hit, which was a home run.

Oh boy, what can you say about the pitching tonight. It was horrible from the first inning to the ninth. Hendrickson got rocked around all night, with 9 runs in 3.2 innings. With two outs and the bases loaded Liz was brought in, he gave up a grand slam on the first pitched, and ended the night with 5 earned runs, but was much worse than that. Than Bass came in, he was actually the best pitcher tonight, giving up 2 runs in 2 innings. Than the final pitcher, Matt Albers, he pitched 1.1 innings giving up 4 runs. With these stats, you can tell how disturbing this game was. I’m put this game behind me, hopefully the pitching will be more motivated for Boston.
