O’s Beat Nats

I just got back froimg_0085m the game, I don’t think anything is more annoying than somebody who sits behind you and talks the hole damn game. Anyway, Uehara had a outstanding game, with great velocity and movement on his pitches. He gave up one hit which was a two run shot off Zinnermans bat over the left field wall. Other than that, I was extremely impressed with Uehara, he’s definitely ready for the season to start.

Nick Markakis had a two run homer, which was absolute shot. His at bats today were very solid, he also looks like he’s  in great baseball shape. Brian Roberts had a good first game back drawling a walk to lead off the game for the O’s. He didn’t look as smooth on the bases as he usually does. Huff didn’t do much today, and his bat looked very slow. In is defense, he did have a good fielding game at first.

Former Oriole Daniel Cabrera was the starting pitcher for the Nats, and was awful. He allowed 5 runs , 4 hits, 4 walks, 1 wild pitch, 1 hit batter in 5 inngs. I am so happy we let him go, obviously he is never going to reach his potential. The sad thing was he had trouble getting the ball over the plate, countless times he threw it in the dirt in front of home plate. Have fun watching him this year Nats fans, hahahahaha.

Overall, the O’s looked sharp  and ready for opening day. We have one game left before opening day tomorrow in DC against the Nats again. Anybody else starting to get anxious for Monday?
